Fullpower Technologies has led the revolution of wearable devices and sleep insight technology since 2004. Fullpower’s Sleeptracker® technology powers industry-leading products like the IoT Smartbed distributed by Simmons and Serta, two of the largest brands in the mattress industry.
Fullpower is now accepting volunteers to participate in a free sleep study in our offices in Downtown Santa Cruz. Come spend a night in our state-of-the-art sleep lab, gain invaluable insights into your own sleep patterns, and help us design our next-generation products. It's a win-win!
Fullpower's sleep lab is equipped with the same type of equipment used for clinical sleep analysis, called polysomnography. It is widely recognized by the medical community as the gold standard for measuring sleep objectively.
As a participant in the sleep study, you will receive a free copy of your polysomnogram report, with notes and observations by a licensed sleep technologist. This can be of tremendous value for further consultation with your regular physician or a sleep specialist.
Polysomnography is a noninvasive, painless test. Complications are rare. The most common side effect is skin irritation caused by the adhesive used to attach test sensors to your skin.
The room where polysomnography is done is similar to a hotel room, and it's dark and quiet during the test. You don't share the room with anyone else. Although you may not fall asleep as easily or sleep as well in the sleep lab as you do at home, we do everything we can to make your experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible. A staff member is available to you throughout the night if you need any assistance.
Detailed information about the sleep study is available in this informed consent form. Please review it carefully prior to submitting your application. You will be required to sign this form when you come in the lab.
After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation with additional instructions. Please ensure that you provide a valid email address, as that is how we will attempt to reach you.
This study requires that all applicants have the ability to make their way to and from our offices, located at 1200 Pacific avenue in downtown Santa Cruz, California. For more information, please read our Frequently Asked Questions. You can also .
